Yankees fans chant ‘a**hole’ at Orioles pitcher Spenser Watkins for walking Aaron Judge

Yankees fans hoping to see Aaron Judge hit a 62nd home run of the season were left disappointed Saturday, and took it out on Orioles pitcher Spenser Watkins.

Judge made five plate appearances in New York’s 8-0 home win, but didn’t have a great chance to break Roger Maris’ AL home run record which he tied on Wednesday night.

The slugger was walked twice and hit by a pitch as well, as Yankees fans grew restless for his record-breaking moment to come vs. the Orioles.

Aaron Judge had a quiet day Saturday despite the Yankees blowout win vs. Baltimore

That frustration was caught on camera in the bottom of the seventh inning.

As Judge was walked for the second time in the game – in just five pitches no less – New York fans chanted ‘a**hole* at Orioles pitcher Spenser Watkins, who entered in the sixth inning.

And it appeared Judge’s teammate Anthony Rizzo may have agreed with the crowd, as he reportedly stepped outside of the batter’s box – possibly to egg on the fans – as the chants continued.

It was ultimately an anticlimactic day for Judge, who struck out in his other two plate appearances.

Other Yankees had more success, however, as the team recorded 14 hits and Giancarlo Stanton and Kyle Higashioka homered.

Judge reached 61 home runs on the season earlier this week vs. the Blue Jays, as he tied Maris’ 61-year record of 61 home runs in the American League.

His next chance to beat the late Yankee great’s mark will be Sunday afternoon against the Orioles.
