Professional chess player Hans Niemann who is at the centre of a ‘anal beads cheat’ storm has a net worth double the amount of marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge.
The chess grandmaster, aged 19, is believed to have a net worth of around $5million (£4.51m). Niemann is at the centre of accusations that he used anal beads to cheat in a £300,000 Sinquefield Cup tournament final.
In comparison marathon world record holder Kipchoge is worth an estimated £2.7million, and is currently making around £45,000 per event – claim Sports Brief. The Kenyan runner has four Olympic Games medals including two golds and has won the London Marathon four times, but can’t match Niemann when it comes to net worth.

Niemann, who is a self-taught chess players made his professional debut in a US ranked competition in 2012, aged nine. However, foul play accusations have been fired at him after the teenager beat five-time grand champion Magnus Carlsen, 31.
Hidden in the soles of his shoes, Niemann had allegedly devised a contraption that would make his shoes communicate with him via a “prostate massager”.
Niemann has taken a financial hit from the allegations after being banned from the largest chess site in the world as well as uninvited from the Chess.com Global Championship. The £864,000 ($1million) event has rescinded their invite for Niemann, River Front Times reported.
Iconic marathon runner Kipchoge might be worth less financially but will go down in the history books as one of the all-time greats. The iconic Kenyan set a new marathon world record in Berlin last month covering the 26.2 miles in 2:01:09, beating his own previous record by 30 seconds.
Kipchoge has won 10 marathon major titles during an incredible career but earns significantly less than stars in other sports for his efforts. Open champion Cameron Smith earned around £86million for signing his LIV Golf contract this summer. And 20-time Grand Slam tennis tournament winner Roger Federer has a net worth of £478million.
