Brits say they’d forgive a cheating partner for a new phone or laptop

Cheaters are going to play away and there is nothing you can do about it.

Whether you choose to give your partner a second shot or show them the door is totally up to you.

But if you’re going to show forgiveness, or you’re the unfaithful party trying to win back their love you may as well get something to sweeten the pot.

A new study from Yellow Octopus claims nearly half of all Brits would forgive a two-timing cheat if they bought them lavish gifts.

With one third claiming a new phone would do the job.

Additionally, one quarter of us would look past the deceit if we were gifted a new laptop.

The experts claimed the findings suggested some gifts are better for reconciliation than others.

They found that stuffed animals, lingerie, board games, memberships, and high-end sneakers were the least likely to help cheaters grovel.

But phones, vacations, and laptops may have them looking the other way. Especially as cheaters admitted to spending on average £1,000 to try and save their relationship.

One more thing cheaters might want to avoid? Naming their children after a romantic partner.

Experts found that almost 50% of people named one of their children after a past romantic or sexual partner.

Earlier this week we reported how the cost of living crisis has forced cheaters to change their sneaky tactics – and they’re getting riskier.

One woman, who has been having an affair for four months, even claimed the changes brought her and her lover closer.

Another women admitted she had had multiple affairs after her boyfriend kept checking the football scores during sex.

Chloe, 34 said: “He loves his phone more than me and can never be parted from it.

“I have lost count of how many times I have asked him to switch it off when we have sex but he refuses because he says he might get an important message.

“I was fed up with my boyfriend’s obsession with his phone and lack of adventure in the bedroom.”
