Chelsea fans fume over ‘worst performance of all-time’ as Brighton batter them

Chelsea fans have fumed over the ‘worst performance of all time’ after Brighton blew them off the South Coast in an incredible first half.

Graham Potter returned to the Amex stadium for the first time since leaving for the Blues in early September. But he could only watch his side fall apart to the rampant Seagulls – who found the net three times in the opening period.

And despite the Blues somewhat turning the performance around in the final 45 minutes, even finding the net through Kai Havertz, Chelsea fans have fumed at the performance on social media.

One fan fumed: “This is the worst Chelsea performance I have ever seen! Disgraceful! From the manager to every player on the pitch, embarrassing!! None deserves to wear the blue. This is unforgivable!”

“This is the worst performance for Chelsea I’ve ever watched,” a second added. While a third tweeted: “Genuinely the worst I think I’ve seen a Chelsea side play.”

And a fourth tweeted: “Chelsea embarrassing us today was inevitable. Why did Potter start Sterling, Loftus Cheek and Pulisic is beyond my understanding. Pathetic!”
