Wayne Rooney’s youngest son was responsible for the gash that appeared on the former Manchester United star’s head on a night out in Dubai.
Rooney, 37, was dining with wife Coleen, their four sons including United academy duo Klay, 12, and Kai, 9, plus Kit, six, and Cass, four, in Greek restaurant Opa Dubai, last Wednesday. The Rooney’s were accompanied by ex-Red Devils star Phil Bardsley and his partner Tanya in the restaurant.
Boxing legend Amir Khan was also in attendance, who Rooney took a pic with during the night. But as the DC United boss tucked into the Greek feast, he was seen wiping blood from his forehead with a serviette.

And despite alluding that wife Coleen was responsible for the cut in a post uploaded to social media by Bardsley’s wife Tanya as they all joked about Rooney’s misfortune, it’s been revealed by The Sun that Rooney’s youngest child Cass was the culprit.
Cass took the traditional Greek plate-smashing a step further and launched one like a frisbee that landed right in the middle of Rooney’s forehead.
But Rooney took the incident in his stride and laughed it off as Cass profusely expressed sorrow for his poor aim. Speaking on the blood-fest, an on-looker said: “Wayne took it very well. His poor lad was very sorry.”

The witness went onto to detail how Cass innocently threw the plate whilst everyone was smashing them as per usual. They added: “It was no different this time and, amid the chaos, the youngest Rooney kid threw a plate across the table frisbee-style and caught him right between the eyes. There was no malice but it caught Wayne smack in the middle of his forehead.”
Cass is yet to join his brothers at United’s academy, but if he does, he might become a goal keeper after displaying his unique throwing abilities. Unlike his older brother Kai who possesses the same lethal feet as Rooney, which he showed last season by bagging an astonishing total of 84 goals and assists.
