According to News Trend Detail, Powerball results were delayed by about 10 hours, following a glitch caused by a problem with security protocols.

In a statement released on Tuesday by Powerball, the lottery said: “After a considerable delay, the Powerball drawing scheduled for Monday November 7 eventually took place several hours later on Tuesday morning.

“There were even reports of many residents from the non-participating states – Utah, Nevada, Hawaii, Alaska and Alabama – crossing borders to pick up their own entries.”

It continued: “It was the high demand for tickets that led to one lottery failing to process its sales and player data in time, forcing the delay.

“In the end, nobody won the jackpot, although millions of other prizes were paid out.”
