In a recent post, Dr Nicole said most of us know that 81% of women need clitoral stimulation to have an orgasm, but we don’t often talk about what type of stimulation is needed.
She talked through what works best, and the methods backed up by research.
To ensure people make the most out of their romps she put an explainer video together to teach people which sort of techniques will guarantee women a more than satisfying orgasm.
Speaking in the Instagram video, she said: “Why is no one talking about exactly what kind of clitoral stimulation works best?
“According to research by McKenzie Institute, at least seven out of ten women prefer clitoral stimulation that incorporates some kind of surprise early on in the beginning.
“By surprise what I really mean is changing up direction, or speed or type of sensation – whether it’s a toy or a finger.
“But as a woman nears orgasm, research also shows that most prefer stimulation that’s rhythmic, consistent and predictable.
“Like a continuous pattern of motion.”
In a nutshell, she advised people you want to start with something that “defies expectation” at the beginning, but work towards something that’s regular and expected towards the end.
She said to think of the rhythm a bit like “your favourite song”, and she said this should guarantee maximum pleasure.
Many people have liked and commented on the short clip since Dr Nicole shared it, and people have thanked her for the advice.
While some people thought it was great, it’s left others a little undecided.
One person said: “If a guy doesn’t know this, he needs to take a course from you.”
Another added: “Changing lives.”
Meanwhile, a third commented: “Is fine and all, but listen to your partner, and ask her what feels good and what she wants more or less off.
“Listen to her signals – every woman is different.”
A fourth also chirped in: “Such a beautifully simple piece of wisdom.”
