‘Arrogant’ USA star Weston McKennie wipes ‘sweaty hands’ on photographer’s bib

USA star Weston McKennie has been slammed as “arrogant” after wiping his “sweaty hands” on a photographer’s bib during the World Cup clash with England.

The midfielder went to take a throw-in before half-time of the evenly-fought contest. But he first bizarrely approached an elderly pitch-side photographer, before wiping his hands on the man’s bib seemingly without consent.

McKennie then nonchalantly turned around to take his throw, leading fans on social media to slam the 24-year-old Juventus man for his behaviour.

England were largely outplayed by an exuberant USA side during their second World Cup match at the Al Bayt Stadium. But Gareth Southgate’s men were nonetheless able to hold their opponents to a crucial 0-0 draw.

It came as a huge shock to England fans, who were full of expectation after the 6-2 drubbing of Iran. The Three Lions will face Wales on Tuesday in a crucial final group stage clash.
