A Sky News reporter has been praised for delivering 13 seconds of TV Gold despite being blanked twice and another Welsh fan dropping a swear word after Wales’ defeat to Iran.
The clip starts with the confused reporter asking one Welsh fan about their reaction to the “win”, to which the fan glumly responded: “we lost”. The reporter then apologised as he looked to move on and find another fan.
The second supporter he asked simply responded: “S***.” The reporter then had to issue his second apology in a matter of seconds – this time for the language – before the clip abruptly ends.

One fan joked: “God bless Wales, God bless live telly!”
“Best # FIFAWorldCup post-match interview so far,” a second added. While a third tweeted: “Tbh what the hell does he expect shoving the microphone into their faces after that display from the team!”
And a fourth pointed out: “I love how producers actually think real fans walking out of a stadium after a heartbreaking defeat are going to be overjoyed at being given the chance to be on TV.”
