It’s almost Christmas, which means mountains of foods, presents and family time.
But there’s another thing that crops at this time of the year – one night stands…
According to a new survey, Brits are five times more likely to enjoy a fling than any other time of the year.

The study, by IllicitEncounters, found a third of women (32%) and 36% of lads have one night stands.
It’s incredibly more popular during this time of the year as the 2022 Christmas party season kicks off.
And it probably doesn’t come as a surprise to you that booze is the biggest factor for driving the kinky sessions.
The study found 21% of women and around 26% of men have copped off with a colleague at a festive work bash.
Meanwhile both men and women say drinking alcohol beforehand is one of the reasons for it.
Only 17% of women and 12% of men say they regret having one night stands.
A third of women (34%) and men (35%) having one night stands are cheating on their current partners.
The results are from a new survey of 2,000 people by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading affairs site.
It found the month leading up to Christmas was easily the most popular time for one night stands.
Other popular occasions were the first few days of a holiday, parties, weddings and stag and hen dos.
Two thirds of women and 67% of men say that Christmas is an aphrodisiac as they desire sex more at this time of year.
Jessica Leoni, sex and relationship expert with IllicitEncounters.com, said: “The one night stand seasons starts this week.
“We are five times more likely to jump into bed with someone on the spur of the moment at this time of the year.
“Everyone will be partying even harder this year after two years of restrictions and that is bound to lead to a surge of one night stands and more cheating.
“Most people really enjoy them and just see them as a fun part of the partying season.”
