Victoria’s Secret model wore a Brazil shirt at a fashion show during World Cup

A glamourous Victoria’s Secret model once wore a Brazil top during a fashion show to cheer the team on at the 2018 World Cup.

Brazilian stunner Adriana Lima stepped out for the Schiaparelli fashion show during the famed Paris Haute Couture Week in the iconic yellow-and-green strip, combining it with a flirty blue crochet skirt to mirror the team’s shorts.

The stunt happened shortly before Brazil’s last-16 clash with Mexico, with Adriana patriotically pointing to the team badge as she made her way through the busy crowd outside the show.

It obviously did Selecao some good, with Neymar and Roberto Firmino scoring a goal apiece to seal victory for Brazil, though they were dumped out in the next round by Belgium.

Adriana, who dated American singer Lenny Kravitz for a time, was always destined to be one of the world’s top models. Aged just 15, she won Ford’s ‘Supermodel of Brazil’ competition, and took second place the following year in the Ford ‘Supermodel of the World’ competition.

She walked her first Victoria’s Secret runway aged 17 after signing with Elite Model Management in New York City. Her professional career spanned 19 years and she was named ‘the most valuable Victoria’s Secret Angel’ in 2017, a year before she stepped away from the business.

Brazil have made a flying start to their current World Cup campaign, taking six points from their opening two games with victories over Serbia and Switzerland.

With their place in the last-16 already guaranteed (and top spot all but secured), there isn’t anything riding on tomorrow’s clash with Cameroon other than pride, but knowing Brazil, that won’t stop them from putting on show.
