A gunman fired shots at former Manchester City star Fitzroy Simpson’s home in Swindon – sparking a police manhunt after his front door was damaged.
Armed police were called to a detached home in Stratton, Swindon, Wiltshire, just after 8pm on Tuesday evening (December 13). Police also deployed a helicopter and a dog unit in an attempt to locate the suspect – but he was not found.
Simpson’s address, garden, and a large green space behind his property were all cornered off as detectives worked at the scene. Dog units were also deployed on Wednesday (14 December) to comb through the local area for a weapon, but nothing was found.
