Top members of the Royal Family are “baffled” by Harry and Meghan insisting they should be given a formal apology, Buckingham Palace insiders have revealed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have demanded a meeting with The Firm to address the “issues” following their explosive six-part Netflix documentary.
Throughout the bombshell series, the controversial royal pair made several damning allegations, including huge royal revelations that Prince William “screamed and shouted” and King Charles consistently leaked stories to the press.

But they are now calling for the Royal Family to issue an apology after reportedly claiming to be the victims of “double standards” after officials made amends with charity boss Ngozi Fulani, 61, after former lady-in-waiting Lady Susan Hussey, 83, asked her where she was “really from”.
Unfortunately for the Sussexes, it seems they are unlikely to be extended the same courtesy, with one royal source asking The Sun: “Who’s apologising to whom?”
Another added: “The King does not want to get involved in a public tit for tat.”
Whilst monarchy expert Nigel Cawthorne claimed the royals will be “very surprised” by Harry and Meghan’s demands for an apology.
He explained: “It’s a bit rich after what they’ve done. For the King to offer any conciliation would be below the dignity of the Crown.
“Harry doesn’t understand that the relationship with his father has changed. And don’t forget we’ve still got Harry’s book Spare coming out, so things are only going to get worse.”
It comes after top working royals including King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton put on a “united front” at Kate’s Together At Christmas festive celebration at Westminster Abbey on December 15, the day of the final three episodes.
They have insisted to adopt a “business as usual” approach to their duties amid the storm surrounding the Netflix documentary, according to sources close to Buckingham Palace.
