Brazilian ace Andrey Santos has been stopped from moving to Chelsea – after his team-mates tied him up.
The midfielder is immensely popular at Vasca de Gama and has been regarded as one of the Selecao’s finest talents, being linked with moves to Newcastle and Manchester City. But the Blues appear to have won the race and the 18-year-old is London-bound.
Well, he would have been had his team-mates not jokingly tied him up at the club’s training ground to stop him from making his big-money move to the Premier League. While only in jest, it shows how much the teenager means to the club despite being so young.

Chelsea are on the brink of confirming a transfer for Santos, who would join up with the development squad before potentially becoming a more prominent first-team member next season. The new owners at Stamford Bridge have been keen to bring in young talent from across the globe.
And with N’Golo Kante and Jorginho out of contract at the end of the season and their futures are in doubt while Benfica star Enzo Fernandez has been heavily linked after starring at the World Cup with Argentina.
Chelsea have already confirmed the signing of David Datro Fofana from FK Molde after a season-ending injury to Armando Broja but the 20-year-old is another expected to join the development squad.
The Blues are also negotiating with Monaco for the signing of Benoit Badiashile to bolster the defence with a £35million fee being touted. The 21-year-old has been previously linked with a switch to Manchester United.
And the west London outfit are still linked with the likes of Joao Felix, Josko Gvardiol and Declan Rice with January expected to be a busy one for Graham Potter.
Chelsea have been largely disappointing this season and find themselves eighth in the Premier League despite a 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday.
