Jodie Burrage may have conflicting emotions when tuning in to the England vs Scotland Six Nations showdown on Saturday.
The British tennis ace has English blood but her boyfriend Ben White will be desperate to down the Red Rose as he lines up as the Scottish scrum-half in the Calcutta Cup clash.
London Irish star White used to captain England’s U20 side but will now star against Steve Borthwick’s men in just his second Test for the Scots.
And White – who qualifies for Scotland via his grandfather – has been in a relationship with British no.4 Burrage for almost four years.
Burrage, 23, is currently the 126th ranked female player in the world and has twice featured in doubles matches at Wimbledon.

The couple first met on social media and are often seen on each other’s profiles as they balance their relationship with their busy lives as elite athletes.
And they enjoyed a romantic getaway together in Barbados last summer, as Burrage posted a series of snaps of the trip on Instagram with the caption: “Best holiday with you.”
White, meanwhile, now has a huge chance to stake his claim for Scotland in a huge occasion after being preferred to experienced scrum-half Ali Price by boss Gregor Townsend.

And Burrage once revealed that White’s diminutive presence on the field causes her concern when in attendance at his matches.
“I love going to the rugby games. It’s such a good atmosphere,” she told The Times last year. “When he’s playing, I get a little worried because, as a scrum half, he’s normally the smallest guy on the pitch.
“I want him to do really well but there’s also part of me that doesn’t want him to touch the ball.”

On the challenges of their relationship, Burrage said: “There are a lot of sacrifices that sometimes people don’t understand. I’m away loads, which doesn’t help in a relationship.
“It definitely helps that we both understand what’s going on, through both the good times and the bad. You can relate to those conversations and feelings; both of our sports are very up and down.”
