Piers Morgan has been slammed online after he hit back at a cheeky tweet from Everton’s official account.
Everton shocked the world when they beat Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime, with the glum Gooner tweeting: “Dismal Arsenal performance today – we’ve been bullied around by one of the worst teams in the Premier League. Inexplicable!”
Everton responded with a gif of a grinning Sean Dyche to the TV personality. However, Morgan wasn’t too impressed with the club’s response – and fumed: “See how cocky you’re feeling when we win the League and you get relegated…”

One fan responded: “Hahaha I don’t really care who won but I love seeing you cry!”
“Pass me those tears Piers,” a second joked with an image of former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti reaching to take something. While a third tweeted: Usual grace in defeat we expect from you…”
And a fourth added: “Taking the loss well. Well done the Everton Twitter team,” with a number of laughing emojis.

Manchester City now have the chance to deal a blow to the Gunners’ title hopes on Sunday as they can cut the gap to two points – with their clash on the horizon.
Arsenal will be hoping for a favour from bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who blew a two-goal lead against City last month.
