‘I set up sexy business after awkward orgasm confession – it’s been huge success’

A pair of women were inspired to launch their business following an “embarrassing” orgasm confession.

Claire Deeks, 24, was chatting to her pals about a pleasurable sexual encounter when they dropped a bombshell.

She was horrified to learn that a few of her friends had “never” explored their own bodies before.

And for this reason, her mates hadn’t found the G-spot or experienced orgasms.

Claire felt so “unsettled” by this revelation, she decided to take action.

She set up her own sexual wellness brand called My ilo, which stands for “I love orgasms”.

The businesswoman hoped the company would encourage women to speak “openly” about pleasure and “not hide away” from it.

So Claire, from Western Australia, roped in her friend Luciana Burke to help.

Then when they launched a range of sex-themed products back in 2019, business was booming so much they decided to quit their other jobs.

Claire told news.com.au: “Sex toys allow us to learn and explore our bodies.

“Understanding how your body works, empowers you to discover new ways to show love, care for yourself and feel comfortable in your own skin.

“We are not specialists in this field. Just two young women, wanting to connect with others who are excited to celebrate and talk about the joy of our bodies.”

My ilo currently sells eight different sex toys and various accessories including body oil and massage candles.

Online reviewers claim to be “obsessed” with the products – as “nobody has time for bad sex”.

And the businesswomen are chuffed they’ve helped women to find their sexual power.

Luciana added: “Of course orgasms feel amazing, but they also have countless positive physical effects, including reducing cortisol, alleviating pain, boosting fertility, increasing white blood cells which support your immune system, and supporting your sleep cycle.

“When you are glowing on the inside, you are going to feel confident and empowered on the outside.”
