Model was so ‘poo shy’ she held it in for two weeks – then passed out on the job

A fetish model who is ‘poo shy’ admitted that she passed out on a shoot after not using the loo for two weeks.

Emerald Barwise has been professionally posing for the last eight years but it hasn’t always been easy – and that’s mainly to do with not being able to go for a number two.

While taking a dump is a natural human thing that we all do, the conversation around going to the loo is mostly non existent. This made the pin-up and fetish model not feel comfortable to nip to the bathroom to do the deed.

The 36-year-old, who lives in Wrexham, suffered from extreme bloat that made her look “pregnant” on lingerie shoots.

She failed to have a proper poo routine all her life – and her girlfriend pointed out that not defecting for two weeks “isn’t normal”.

So when she spotted the advert for Channel 4 show Know Your S**t: Inside Our Guts, that the model decided to seek help for her poo related anxiety.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Star, the glamorous model revealed the extent of her inability to perform on the toilet and how this has affected her lucrative job.

“My issues have definitely affected my job,” Emmerald candidly shared.

“I’ve passed out before on shoots where I’ve been wearing corsets and I’m sure it was due to my issues because it hasn’t happened since being on the show.

“Also if I was really bloated I hated doing a lingerie or nude shoot it made me feel horrible.

“I decided to go on the show when my girlfriend noticed I wasn’t going to the toilet regularly and she said that it wasn’t normal.”

She admitted: “I was totally unaware that people go to the loo for a poo every day sometimes more as at that point I was going once a week but I’d been like that my whole life so I didn’t know any different,

“And as I was totally poo shy I’d never discussed my poo with anyone.

“I didn’t seek help for so long because I had literally no idea that there was an issue. I knew that I was poo shy but that was it I didn’t know people pooed more than me.”

Emmerald candidly shared that her reluctance to have a poo has not been helped by her diagnosis of ADHD.

“My toilet troubles all started from being very young and being poo shy from young and having ADHD and autism just made that poo shyness times 10,” the model said.

“So I never wanted to go and apparently I just taught my body to not recognise when I needed the toilet.”

But that has now changed for Emmerald.

Having enlisted the help from the Know Your S**t experts, including a dietitian who told her to lay off the garlic that she puts in most meals, the kinky model is a much for frequent visitor to the bathroom.

On the show, she was also given a muffin made with blue food colouring to test her ‘transit time’ to see how long the treat took to pass through to the other end.

After avoiding toilet talk for her whole life, and even passing out on the job from not going for a number two, Emmerald has started to break the taboo.

“I am still a bit poo shy however being on the show Know your S**t with Dr Sophie Medlin and the Mac twins really really helped me”, she praised.

“I’m now able to talk about my poo habits openly and I’m also going regularly now at least three or four times a week and on some weeks I go every day.

“It really has changed my life.”

Never underestimate the power of the bowels!
