Polished perfection! Queen Letizia of Spain stuns in chic blouse and pencil skirt as she arrives at University of Cuanza with King Felipe

Queen Letizia of Spain looked polished to perfection as she arrived at the University of Cuanza in Angola today.

The European monarch, 50, was suitably smart in a long-sleeved chiffon white blouse with a trendy wraparound detail.

For the university presentation on the paintings of Spanish Catalan artist Joan Miro, the mother-of-two opted for a sophisticated black pencil skirt with a bow at the waist.

The stylish royal pulled her formal ensemble together with a pair of black suede heels and a leather clutch bag with a gold bar fastening.

In-keeping with her smart attire, Letizia styled her brown hair in an elegant bun – but still allowing a few wisps to frame her face.

For her makeup, the royal went for full-on glamour with a brown shimmery smokey eye.

Along with a luminous base, Letizia was pictured wearing a slick of nude lipstick.

To finish off her outfit, the royal wore a pair of dangly earrings – featuring a constellation design.

Letizia and her husband King Felipe are currently on their first ever royal tour of Sub-Saharan Africa, which will last three days.

The couple are staying in Luanda, Angola’s capital, and will be hosted by the President, João Lourenço during their visit.

The Queen will spend time with Angolan First Lady Ana Afonso Dias Lourenço, who is a trained economist and keen promoter of women’s rights

Last night, the pair were pictured arriving at the Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport.

As she stepped off the plane, Letizia was pictured in a stylish pastel pink co-ord.

The mother-of-two’s fashionable trousers were slightly cropped while her top had a slight v-neck cut.

She then paired her satin ensemble with a matching shoulder bag and heeled pumps.

The royal, whose father Jesús José Ortiz Álvarez and stepmother Ana Togores are both journalists, met her husband King Felipe when she was asked to interview him in her job as a reporter.

Letizia’s media career was a lengthy one and began with a stint at Asturian daily paper, La Nueva España.

Next came a role at ABC, a popular national newspaper that enjoys the third largest circulation in Spain, before spells at EFE and Mexican publication Siglo 21, which is based in Guadelajara.

Back in Spain a year later, she worked for the Spanish version of Bloomberg, a news channel and agency specialising in economics, before moving to CNN+.

By the time she met her husband-to-be, Letizia was working for popular TV channel 24 Horas, where she anchored the popular Telediario 2 evening news bulletin.
