Bikini model who ditched sugar for 6 weeks strips off to flaunt results

Bikini designer and model Karina Irby shared her results of ditching sugar by showing off her body.

The 33-year-old, from Australia, is currently half-way through a no sugar challenge to prove ‘she’s in control of her urges’.

And the social media star, who boasts 1.2million Instagram followers, said it’s definitely working for her, as she told fans she’s feeling ‘better in her body’.

To prove her point, the blonde bombshell stripped to a colourful string bikini, which was from her own swimwear brand – Moana Swim.

She was seen smiling happily and swishing her golden locks as she displayed her curves.

Captioning the snaps, Karina, who was previously known for her body positive posts, wrote: “Day 42 – No sugar.

“I doing a 12-week, no sugar challenge to prove to myself that I am in control of my urges, and that my urges don’t control me.”

She added: “If you know me you know I have THE biggest sweet tooth.

“Not only do I love a treat – but I also love hard core binge.

“If I open a packed of biscuits I won’t just eat one or two. I’ll eat the whole thing!

“It’s not one of my finest eat habits.

“It helps me with stress, relaxation, gaining control back and my anxiety.

“But day by day not only am I feeling better in my body, but I’m showing up for myself and creating a healthier lifestyle.”

The star concluded: “This isn’t a weight loss challenge, so don’t misunderstand.

“However I have been dropping Kgs in this time just by making a few simply changes.

“I’m happy to keep sharing my journey and all the pros and cons that come with it.”

Fans were loving the post, as it racked up more than 17,000 likes.

One exclaimed: “Wow! Congrats! I’ve tried doing this a number of times but I always fall off the wagon.”

While another added: “I really had no idea how much of an impact sugar had on me till I reduced how much I was consuming.”

A third chimed in: “So great! Thinking of doing this!”

As a fourth simply said: “You look amazing!”

Despite the compliments, some weren’t so sure of the no-sugar rule.

One asked: “So what happens after the 12 weeks? Do you introduce them in small quantities? Sounds like a slippery slope to finish the 12 weeks and end up going back to old habits.”

Karina was previously known for her body positive posts, with the influencer showing how much her body changes in a post on Instagram shared last year.
