Floyd Mayweather stunned shoppers in an American shopping centre as he was protected by a wall of ’30 security guards’ and followed by a huge entourage.
Nicknamed ‘Money’ the American boxer attracts attention wherever he goes and, despite having his head covered during a shopping trip in Scottsdale, Arizona, he didn’t go unnoticed.
Mayweather is fighting reality television star Aaron Chalmers at London’s O2 Arena on February 25 and was out splashing some cash before his trip to the UK. A shocked shopper recorded the 45-year-old who had his head covered by a gold Adidas hoodie with matching trousers, both of which failed to deflect attention from the star.

Ahead of the boxing star was a wall of ’30 security guards’ who were joined together and included three uniformed police officers. Mayweather, who retired from professional boxing in 2017 with an unbeaten record of 50-0, was also followed by a huge entourage.
However, the whole group were stopped by Mayweather when he spotted jeweller and hip-hop star Johnny Dang, who he recently bought a lavish chain worth a staggering $1million (£828,000) from. As the pair embraced mayhem ensued as fans rushed to take a picture of the stars together.
In a previous video posted on social media, celebrity jeweller Dang presented the American with the hefty Cuban link chain is understood to contain 8,500 diamonds, amounting to a total of 300 carats being used. It is believed to be Mayweather’s gift to himself ahead of his birthday later this month.
Since hanging up his gloves professionally the Money continues to earn a fortune from his sport by arranging lucrative exhibition bouts, with his last being a win over Deji Olatunji – brother of ‘Prime’ energy drink owner KSI – back in November.
Mayweather will be aged 46 when he fights former Geordie Shore star Chalmers in London later this month. Chalmers stepped in to replace Liam Harrison after the Muay Thai specialist pulled out just hours after their meeting was announced.
Despite being 11 years old than Chalmers the American fighter showed he still has some impressive boxing skills during recent training footage. Newcastle native Chalmers is 5-2 as a mixed martial artist but hasn’t fought since February 2020 when he lost to Austin Clem at Bellator 240.
