Mum ‘could only be identified by fingerprints’ after 100mph horror crash onto tracks

A mum who was killed in a 100mph car crash was so badly injured she had to be identified by her fingerprints.

Yagmur Ozden, 33, had been a passenger in Rida Kazem’s Range Rover that collided with a Tesla charging station in Ealing, London, in the early hours of August 22 last year.

The Iraqi-born beautician was thrown from the vehicle, which ploughed through a metal fence before flipping and landing onto the tracks of the London Underground at Park Royal station, reports MyLondon.

She was pronounced dead by paramedics around 30 minutes after, with a post-mortem examination giving her cause of death as multiple traumatic injuries.

Yagmur, who leaves behind a 12-year-old daughter, was identified by police through her fingerprints.

She has since been described by friends as a “devoted” mum who would do anything to help others.

Appearing today (Thursday, February 16) at Isleworth Crown Court, Kazem, 23, pleaded guilty to causing her death by dangerous driving on the western carriageway of the A40.

He also admitted causing serious injury to a third passenger, Zamarod Arif, who escaped the crash with a broken leg and arm.

She previously told the MailOnline that she had only survived the horror crash because she was wearing a seat belt and claimed that Kazem had lost control after swerving to avoid an animal.

An eyewitness at the scene also claimed that the vehicle could have been travelling at a speed of up to 100mph when it crashed.

Kazem, a jewellery store manager, was also seriously injured and was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington where he was put in an induced coma.

He has since had his leg amputated and appeared in the dock today using crutches.

Kazem will return to Isleworth Crown Court for sentencing on August 22.
