Vile Madeleine McCann merchandise is being flogged online for Mother’s Day

Stomach churning Madeleine McCann merchandise is being flogged online as part of a Mother’s Day sale.

The disturbing items – described as the “perfect gift” – include children’s clothing and mugs with the slogan ‘My name is Madeleine and I live with my parents’ splashed on it.

They are being sold on a website called CafePress ahead of Mother’s Day on March 19.

The children’s top has a regular price of £21 but the website boasts that you can get it for £13.50 thanks to its sale.

One description of a Madeleine cup reads: “Our unique ceramic mugs will soon be your new favourite way to consume hot or cold beverages.”

The mug, with the ‘My name is Madeleine and I live with my parents’ slogan, is £13 but a Mother’s Day sale means weirdos can buy it for £9.75.

These taunting words can also be purchased on T-shirts, jumpers and even on maternity outfits.

A white T-shirt with the same slogan scrawled across it is down from £21.00 to £15.75.

But it is not the first time CafePress has caused anger for advertising deplorable Madeleine McCann merchandise.

In 2017, on the 10 year anniversary of her disappearance, T-shirts with the phrase “Maddie lives in my basement” were featured on the site.

The Madeleine case has been back in the news this week after a Polish woman claimed she was the missing girl.

Julia Wendwll, 21, is pleading for a DNA test after providing “evidence” that she is the child who vanished during a family holiday to Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007.

In recent days she has gone viral on social media and a source told the Daily Star how Gerry and Kate McCann were “taking no chances” and were “willing to look at all leads”.

Jules meanwhile now has an Instagram with 1million followers.

Her bio reads: “Help me, I need to talk with Kate and Gerry McCann. Thank you for the support! Kate and Gerry McCann agreed for DNA test.”

And because of her rise in popularity, she has now set up an email address and phone number to respond to her press enquiries.

The Daily Star has contacted CafePress for a response to this story.
