Prince Andrew ‘could move into Sarah Ferguson’s £5m mews house’ if evicted by King

Prince Andrew could move into his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s £5million mews house if he is evicted from his current home by the King.

Andrew’s new digs could be a mews property owned by Fergie in the posh Belgravia area of London.

The Duchess of York reportedly purchased the property as an “investment property” for daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.

The late Queen’s second son currently resides at Royal Lodge in Windsor, but the property is known to be high maintenance and Andrew could see his £249,000 cut by King Charles III in April.

The lodge used to belong to the Queen Mother until her death in 2002 and Andrew has lived there since 2004.

The Duchess of York also resides there.

An insider reported to The Telegraph that the King will not leave his brother “homeless or penniless.”

The King’s younger brother could face the funding cut as the monarch looks ahead to a “slimmed down” royal family, leading to a tightening of the crown’s purse strings.

In a family meeting in December, a senior royal is reported to have joked: “We will kick Andrew out of the house.”

The Mirror has approached Prince Andrew’s representatives for comment.

An insider said to The Sun: “It has been finished to a really high standard, but now suddenly it has all gone quiet about moving a tenant in.

“They are looking to keep it empty to use themselves. It’s a far cry from a mansion on the Windsor estate, but this is their only London property.”

The downsizing could continue for Andrew, who has already had to sell his ski chalet in Verbier, Switzerland, for a whopping £19 million.

The sale was made in part to fund the prince’s mounting legal costs during the civil case brought against him by Virginia Giuffre.

She claimed she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew on three occasions in 2001, when she was 17.

Andrew has always denied the claims.

The case was eventually settled for a sum rumoured to be worth roughly £9.8million.

Andrew’s possible future home in Belgravia is only a short distance from the home of former friend and billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s former mansion.

Fergie and Andrew’s former homes also include Sunninghill in Ascot, Berkshire, sold in 2007 to a Kazakh oligarch.

The property, sold to a buyer Andrew worked as a fixer for on other business deals, was bought for £3million more than the £12million asking price.
