Manchester United have discovered their Europa League fate after seeing off Barcelona in a playoff – with Arsenal taking on an unseeded opponents in the last 16 as group winners.
Erik ten Hag and Mikel Arteta will see the competition as a good chance of silverware, finding out their next opponents in the draw at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
With the eight group stages winners drawn against the eight teams to progress from the new playoff-round, United and Arsenal couldn’t meet due to association rules.

With Arsenal taking on Sporting following their playoff win over Midtjylland, the pair will meet for the first time since 2018 when the Gunners won 1-0 with the other match a draw.
United take on La Liga’s fifth-placed side in Real Betis, who won five of their six group matches and drew the other to cruise into the last 16.
With the round of 16 ties taking place on the ninth and 16th of March, the quarter-finals and are booked in for the 13th and 30th of April before the May 11th and 18th semis.
The final will go ahead on May 31st, taking place at the Puskas Arena in Hungary, victory and includes a guaranteed Champions League group stage spot for the winner.
Chelsea were the last Premier League team to win the competition, beating Arsenal in the final in 2018/19, with United beating Ajax 2-0 back in the 2016/17 showpiece.
The Red Devils may well be looking to add to their trophy haul in the Budapest final with the Carabao Cup final on the horizon, while still in the FA Cup.
