Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in for an “arctic reception” should they return to the UK for King Charles’ coronation.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently surrounded by rumours of their possible attendance at the event following the release of Harry’s book, Spare.
Harry’s memoir followed the couple’s Netflix docu-series, all bringing an insight into the couple’s time as royals and alleged family fallouts.

Due to allegations made, royal commentator Daniela Elser believes that both Harry and Meghan are in for a difficult time, and not just from the Royal Family but Brits as well.
She also believes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be put further back at the coronation as Queen Consort Camilla’s family step into the limelight.
Speaking in her news.com.au column, she wrote: “Harry might be the King’s son and fifth in line to the throne but now, having turned his litany of family grievances into a highly lucrative one-man cottage industry, on coronation day he looks set to play much the same role as one of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s artfully perched chapeaus – ornamental and nothing more.
“Now, with this latest news, the Duke faces only an arctic reception by his family, an arctic reception by Fleet Street and an arctic reception by a British people about as keen on he and Meghan as tray of flaccid vegan sausage rolls, but the Sussexes will now have to watch on as Camilla’s family steal the limelight, a nation’s hearts and millions if not billions of clicks and likes.
“Never will Aitch’s self-inflicted exile to the very outer limits of the royal orbit more keenly come into focus than when all those teenagers gather around the women they call ‘GaGa’, trying not to drop a hand sewn canopy, while the Duke and Duchess are stuck in a pew staring at the back of 15-year-old James, Viscount Severn’s head.”
Elser’s comments come following Meghan and Harry being parodied in US hit show South Park.
Following the mocking of the couple, one expert believes the Sussexes are becoming “figures of fun”.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: “There was plenty to laugh at in Spare, Harry’s penile frostbite, his losing his virginity in unusual circumstances and describing the effects drugs had on him making him the object of countless jokes.
“The Sussexes may find they are becoming figures of fun. It’s their own fault, because of their narcissistic and selfish behaviour. That won’t help their brand.”
