A glamorous model stripped off to a tiny bikini before posing for photographs in the F1 garage at the Australian Grand Prix.
Australian star Jodhi Meares was the girlfriend of of media tycoon James Packer at the time of the 1999 race before marrying him the same year. With Packer being an influential figure Meares was given access to the racing paddock and announced herself to F1 fans by posing in a hardly there bikini.
Meares sent pulses racing by posing on the Williams garage tyres ahead of qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix in 1999 in a revealing purple bikini.

The gorgeous model then changed outfit into a equally as daring white bikini as as she cosied up to F1 star Alex Zanardi at the Melbourne course.
Her presence may have districted Zanardi who didn’t know where to look with the model by his side. The Italian could be forgiven for having his mind elsewhere as he span off after 19 laps of the grand prix. The weekend wasn’t a complete disaster for Williams as Ralf Schumacher came through from eighth on the grid to finish on the podium – with British star Eddie Irvine taking victory.

Meares married billionaire businessman Packer in 1999 until they were divorced eight years later. The Australian star was in the media limelight from a young age after she was chosen as a Moove milk model at the age of 15. Before her Australian Grand Prix exploits the beautiful star was a singer in the band Euphoria.
After making her name as a gorgeous model Meares went on to design swimwear and established the popular brand Tigerlily Swimwear.
F1 first visited Australia in 1985 starting with a street circuit in Adelaide before moving to Melbourne in 1996. Restrictions in Australia during the Covid-19 pandemic meant that the Grand Prix was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 – but returned last year when Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was the winner.
