YouTube explorers stumble upon treasure trove of old cars, bikes – and even a chopper

A group of urban explorers stable across a gold mine of hundreds of abandoned old cars and helicopters.

Daniel Gray, 26, from Lincolnshire, has been exploring abandoned locations of the UK for the last three years and now runs a YouTube channel dedicated to these interesting finds named Abandoned UK.

This motor graveyard on the outskirts of Newcastle, UK on an abandoned old farm has over £600K worth of old vintage cars, motorbikes, and helicopters which have been left to rot – making it any petrol heads dream find.

The makes and age of the helicopters remain unknown, however, throughout the video, you can spot a Yamaha motorbike from the 1980s, an old Alfa Romeo and a vintage Saab 900 that time has forgotten.

Daniel said: “Myself and a few friends visited the location after speaking to the guy who owns the farm and he let us onto the property and we were astonished by what we found.

“It was amazing to walk through acres of old disused cars that have just been left to rot.

“When we spoke to the guy he couldn’t really put a number on how long he’s had them but the collection has been building up for many years.

“A few of the cars were really hard to make out due to being abandoned and left to the elements.

“It’s a real shame as we spoke to the owner and the only reason it’s ended up like this is purely because of money. It’s costs too much to restore them and too much to get them moved and scrapped.

“From the styles of the cars you can tell some have been here for decades and you can tell a few of the models are very rare so there must be a fair amount of money on the farm I’d say if they were all restored, you’re probably looking at upwards of £600,000.”
