King’s Coronation carriage delay was due to royal being ‘ahead of schedule’

The Coronation carriage delay which saw a furious King Charles III mouth off about how bored he was is due to the carriage being “ahead of schedule”.

The King of England was spotted looking irate and annoyed in the back of his gold-plated carriage on the Coronation, sat with Queen Camilla Parker Bowles.

A lip reader has since revealed the King was fuming about being late, asking why they were never on time to events that mattered, like the crowning of a new Royal Family member.

But it would appear the delay was intentional as the King was way ahead of his own schedule.

It was claimed the King was actually six minutes ahead of schedule, hence the few minutes of delay which prompted an annoyed reaction from Charles.

He was spotted allegedly asking the Crown Equerry for the reasons around the hold-up, and according to sources speaking to The Telegraph, the delay was to make sure everybody else was on time.

An unnamed source speaking to the paper said: “When they did the dress rehearsal it was the middle of the night so the horses were quite sleepy and took their time.

“But on the day of the Coronation they were wide awake and consequently went a lot faster than they had in the practice. That’s what threw the timings out”.

It would appear the speed at which horses travel had a part to play in the strange Coronation hold-up, with Charles fuming at the state of his six-minute delay.

The Daily Star previously reported on the comments made by the King, as a lip-reading expert transcribed the mouthy tirade from His Majesty.

He moaned at the time about the “boring” state of affairs in being held up for so long.

King Charles appeared to be speaking from personal experience though, having decided there was “always something” about big days such as his Coronation that would end up going wrong.
