‘People cruelly call us fat – that won’t stop us from flaunting what we’ve got’

Influencers are taking a stand against trolls who call them fat by flaunting their gorgeous selves online.

While having hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok can change your life, it also brings with it vitriol from strangers.

Here Daily Star has shared the stories of four women who aren’t letting haters get them down and sharing inspiring content instead.

Despite what haters may say, she has learnt to embrace her body and help others to do the same in the process.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Olivia said: “My platform helps other women embrace their bodies at any size.

“Women message me telling me how they are able to wear bikinis now because of me or that they never saw anyone with their body shape online and they are glad to have found me.

“I do get negative fatphobic comments daily, but I have learned to drown them out and focus on the positive messages I receive.

“Knowing I am helping people feel better in their own skin makes it worth it for me.”

Iskra Lawrence went to the extent of starving herself to fit into the modelling industry after she was told she was “too fat”.

But since embracing her curves, her career has really taken off – and she’s made a fortune.

The Worcestershire-born model was signed by a casting agency at the age of 15 and even though she was only a UK size six and eight, she was told she was “too womanly”, “too curvy” and “too mature”.

The 32-year-old told Boss Babe host Natalie Ellis: “I was told ‘your hips are two inches too big and unless you have something to do about it, you are not going to have a career.’”

Eventually, Iskra realised that she has to help change the industry as nothing would ever be good enough.

She reached out to the marketing teams of companies like Tesco and M&S and pitched herself as an “in-between size” model for photoshoots.

She found a gap in the market, earning around £1,500 a month before her career exploded on social media.

Bournemouth-based influencer Molly Ava has been relentlessly trolled after bravely posting more authentic photos on her popular Instagram account.

At times, the cruel comments have been so bad that the 23-year-old cried herself to sleep – but she’s not letting it stop her from posting what she wants.

Now the fitness coach is being praised for posting side-by-side photos taken seconds apart to highlight how influencers dramatically alter perceptions on Instagram by posing a certain way.

Speaking exclusively with Daily Star, she said: “It is a horrible feeling waking up and going on your phone and every other notification is a man on a side of Instagram I didn’t expect the post to get to.

“They say ‘you are fat, you are disgusting’ and they tag their friends who then comment, it’s crazy. I get trolled all the time.

“Lots of the comments were bullying me for the way I look, comments saying ‘oh you make me feel sick’. What do you gain from that? Absolutely nothing. I am a complete stranger to them.”

Molly has learnt to ignore the haters and instead, pay attention to those who say her posts are having a positive impact on them.

Curvy model Steph Oshiri has slammed trolls who try to body shame her by declaring her “mum belly” and “lunch lady arms” are “hot”.

The 28-year-old is famed for having a 55-inch backside and her body positivity but sadly she receives hate comments from people because of her weight.

Thankfully the OnlyFans model, from Canada, refuses to let the haters get her down as she regularly takes to social media to hit back at trolls who have criticised her body.

She’s slammed people for saying she has “diabetic arms” and has said she “looks so cute”.

Steph clarified that she actually has comforting “lunch lady arms” and has told fans: “Don’t mind the mum tum.”

TikTok viewers were quick to take to the comments to show their support for the model as they branded her a “goddess”.
