UEFA fail fans again as ‘shambles’ outside gates is ‘dangerous’ for thousands

UEFA have been labelled a “shambles” after herding thousands of Manchester City fans in “dangerous” fashion ahead of the Champions League final.

All eyes were on UEFA ahead of Manchester City and Inter Milan’s clash on Saturday night. The organisation for last year’s final has widely gone down as a total failure, which the governing body apologised for and claimed they had “learned their lesson” from.

Yet reports from Istanbul have since contradicted that, with fans slamming delays and more shambolic organisation.

Reporter Alex Brotherton tweeted: “People wonder why City fans boo the Champions League anthem. Many reasons, and repeatedly treating supporters like cattle is just one of them.

“Thousands of City fans funnelled towards the gates through a car park through gaps no more than a few people wide. Shambles and dangerous.”
