Prem star’s WAG gutted as honeymoon is scrapped after late international call-up

Aston Villa star Boubacar Kamara left his WAG in disbelief after he called off his honeymoon to join up with the France squad.

Kamara, 23, married partner Coralie Porrovecchio, 27, last week having finished the Premier League season with Villa at the end of May. They were due to get away for their honeymoon at the weekend.

That was until France boss Didier Deschamps called the midfielder up to his squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Gibraltar and Greece.

Kamara was meant to be off for the summer until returning to Villa training, but is needed by Deschamps after Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot picked up an injury to his right calf and had to pull out.

A less than impressed Coralie took to social media and updated her 2.1million Instagram followers after the news broke, posting a selfie on her story with the caption: “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.”

She later added: “The honeymoon’s postponed. A problem of the lives of football women that you so envy.”

As she and Kamara travelled instead to France’s Clairefontaine base, former Miss Belgium finalist Coralie did admit it was “for the good cause”, with Kamara only having picked up three international caps so far in his career.

The model and Kamara have two children together, sons Leeroy and Kingsley, and she followed him to England when he joined Villa from Marseille last summer.

Kamara made 24 appearances in the English top flight last season and was part of Unai Emery’s first XI when fit. Injuries ruled him out for a number of games in the second half of the season, though.
