A celebrity bar funded by ex-Liverpool striker Emile Heskey and run by his wife Chantelle has been wound up after amassing £163,000 worth of debts.
Parea, located in Alderley Edge in Cheshire, opened in 2018 and was a hit with WAGs and celebrities but now will not reopen its doors after closing earlier this year.
Documents lodged at Companies House show that a winding-up order was served on May 30, after a local catering company applied to be wound-up due to unpaid debts.
Parea was funded by Heskey, 45, and co-owned by James Golden, who has seen the venue open a branch in Liverpool.

The closure of the Alderely Edge venue sees their focus switch to the opening of a new bar in Spinningfields in central Manchester.
Golden spoke to the Manchester Evening News regarding the future of Parea, where he said: “We closed the bar as our lease was up for renewal and the village had gone very quiet.

“We have recently launched in Liverpool and are opening in Spinningfields shortly.”
The bar hit the headlines in 2019 when a first anniversary party went rogue, seeing sushi being served on a half naked woman who was lying on the table – with just the use of leaves and carefully placed salmon bites maintaining her dignity.
Parea also came under attack in 2020 after a masked attacker launched bricks through the windows of the bar.
Heskey played 62 times for England during a good career in the Premier League that saw him score 60 goals in 223 appearances in total for Liverpool during a four-year stint at Anfield.
The Leicester City youth product scored 110 Premier League goals during his career that saw him also play for Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa in the top-flight.
Since retiring in 2016, Heskey spent a short spell at Leicester City Women as interim manager in 2021.
