Fans praise Maya Jama’s least compatible couple twist
Tensions reached breaking point as the villa was told by host Maya Jama to vote for who they thought were the least compatible couple.
Viewers praised the shock twist for ‘bringing the drama’ as the islanders gathered round the firepit to voice their nominations to the group.
As each couple said the two islanders they thought had the least potential to pursue a relationship, the agitation mounted as friendships were thrown under the bus.
The two couples with the most votes – Leah Taylor and Mitchel Taylor and Jess Harding and Sammy Root – were then told by Maya they are now single and not allowed to recouple with each other.
In another bombshell, they were told they were about to head on a date with two sexy new singletons; Montel McKenzie and Mal Nicol.

Meet the two new Love Island bombshells!
Two new bombshells will be making their way into the villa on Wednesday night’s Love Island.
Scottish beauty Mal Nicol and semi-pro footballer Montel McKenzie, both 25, were teased on Tuesday ahead of meeting their fellow Islanders.
Mal, who comes from Edinburgh but lives in London is a picture researcher who is swapping her day job for a chance of finding love in Mallorca.

Asked who she had her eyes on in the villa ahead of going in she said: ‘I do actually like Sammy. I think he’s quite funny and his personality is coming out more – there is something about him I fancy.
‘I fancy Zach as well, Zach but I wouldn’t go in too strong on him as I feel like he’ll get a bit big for his boots because he’s had a lot of female attention. I think I’d play it cool with him.
Alongside Mal, Montel will be entering the villa to try and tempt some of the girls out of their current couples.
The account Manager and semi-professional footballer from East London says his current top three are Catherine, Leah and Ella.
He said: ‘Ella for me is generally my type, Catherine carries herself well and seems like a classy girl. Leah seems very chilled and that’s the kind of person I am.’
He said he is not that worried about going for an Islander who is already getting to know someone else.
