Arsenal have pulled off another summer coup by managing to tie down wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri to a new deal.
The 16-year-old, who made his first-team Arsenal debut at 15 last September against Brentford, had been drawing plenty of attention from the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.
As of June 30, Nwaneri’s schoolboy registration was set to expire, with other clubs keen to pounce upon the promising youngster.
However, the Athletic’s David Ornstein has now confirmed that Nwaneri has committed his immediate future to the Gunners, by signing scholarship forms with Arsenal.
