In July, the person from Liverpool shared details about their health situation and admitted that they had delayed seeking medical attention despite experiencing prolonged discomfort.
The actor received a diagnosis of prostate cancer, which subsequently metastasized to other parts of his body, resulting in the development of tumors on his spine, hips, and bladder.
When news of Jake’s death spread on the internet, X, previously known as Twitter, was inundated with messages of sympathy from friends and fans.

Actress Tina Malone, who described Jake as her theatre husband, said: ‘I am heartbroken my screen and theatre husband, my mate of 50 years has passed.
“I cannot reword.”
Meanwhile, radio personality Pete Price, said: ‘Another wonderful, kind, talented friend has passed away. Jake is going to be so missed. I always loved his performances.’

Jake, who recently performed in the play The Scouse Jack and the Beanstalk, revealed that he sought medical help from his general practitioner (GP) after being unwell for a prolonged period of time.
He informed Liverpool ECHO that he was working despite not feeling well. He was persevering through those moments when one feels off, lacking energy, and experiencing discomfort.

I received a test result and was admitted to the Royal. The doctor informed me that I have cancer and expressed his sincere apologies. He mentioned that I might have had it for approximately four years.
Jake was initially given radiotherapy treatment, but his treatment plan was later switched to palliative care.
The celebrity mentioned that he was informed back then that he might have a remaining time of months or even years to live.
Due to being diagnosed late, he was eager to motivate others to undergo medical examinations if they experience any symptoms of illness.
