Christmas Day journey chaos as dozens of flights cancelled

Dozens of flights have been cancelled at a significant airport throwing Christmas journey plans into chaos.

At least 27 flights have already been cancelled at Sydney Airport on Christmas Day, together with a world flight from Seoul and a visit to Ho Chi Minh City.

The cancelled flights arriving and departing Sydney embody ten from Virgin Australia, six Qantas flights, and three from Jetstar.

Some smaller regional airways have additionally been impacted.

A Sydney Airport spokesman blamed the cancellations on the time on ‘native flooding’. 

‘Flights are presently arriving and departing, nevertheless some earlier flights have been affected, with quite a lot of arriving providers delayed,’ he mentioned.
