Former Manchester United midfielder Gordan Strachan has spoke of a heartwarming reunion with Sir Alex Ferguson.
Strachan performed below the legendary supervisor at Aberdeen, United and for his or her native Scotland – however they did not see eye-to-eye and their very public feud spilled over to their conferences within the dugout.
Thankfully they did ultimately settle their variations and put the previous behind them, which is why they met once more on the funeral for Sir Alex’s spouse Lady Cathy in October.

Strachan was amongst the plethora of footballing legends who attended the service in Glasgow to pay their respects. And regardless of the character of the day, he was greeted in true Fergie style.
Speaking to Boyle Sports, Strachan stated: “He whacked me around the back of the head and told me to get a haircut! I’m 66 years of age, but it seriously got me thinking about going to a barber.”
They went on to talk about the present dressing room scenario at Old Trafford in gentle of current stories of unrest in Erik ten Hag’s camp this season.
Strachan feels the issues lie with the gamers and never Ten Hag, reflecting on how he and his team-mates would behave with Sir Alex in cost.
“On Monday mornings, regardless of whether or not we won or lost, some of us would not be speaking to Sir Alex – completely blanking him,” he defined.
“But the concept of ‘losing the dressing room’ is incorrect for me, because players are always going to have problems at some point. I got in a huff with Sir Alex because I wanted a transfer. He said no, so I just got on with it.
“You by no means hear it stated in soccer, however there are literally so many instances when the dressing room can lose the supervisor. Of the managers Manchester United have had within the final 5 years, there are some good ones in there!”
