Trump warns ‘there shall be bedlam’ if Jan 6 prosecution goes forward

Donald Trump has warned there shall be “bedlam” if the justice division is allowed to prosecute him on election interference claims, accusing Joe Biden of trying to push him off the poll.

It comes as the previous president’s authorized group argued he was exempt from the 4 felony expenses alleging he tried to overturn the results of the 2020 election as a result of he’s entitled to presidential immunity.

Claiming Mr Biden was involved by his sliding ballot numbers forward of November’s election, Mr Trump mentioned: “I think they feel this is the way they’re going to try and win and that’s not the way it goes. There will be bedlam in the country… it’s the opening of a Pandora’s Box.

“When they talk about threat to democracy, that’s your real threat to democracy. And I feel that as president you need to have immunity.”

He added: “I did nothing wrong, absolutely nothing wrong. I’m working for the country and I worked very hard on voter fraud because we have to have free elections.”

Earlier within the day, Mr Trump’s legal professionals argued that the “floodgates” will open to partisan expenses being introduced in opposition to former presidents if the prosecution is allowed to go forward.
