Hunter Biden confirmed up unannounced to a House listening to led by Republicans to carry him in contempt.
The son of the president made the shock look on Wednesday morning at Capitol Hill, making a tense second with the House GOP who has been looking for his testimony in connection to their impeachment proceedings investigating President Joe Biden.
The youthful Mr Biden didn’t reply to questions and was accompanied by his attorneys Abbe Lowell and Kevin Morris, in keeping with NBC News.
House Republicans have been planning to vote on recommending that Mr Biden, 53, be charged with contempt of Congress.
Mr Biden left the listening to room shortly earlier than 10.30am, simply as Georgia GOP Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene started talking.
Neither a consultant for Mr Biden nor the White House instantly responded to a question from The Independent on whether or not President Biden was conscious of his son’s intention to go to Capitol Hill on Wednesday.
“We have offered to work with the House committees to see what and how relevant information to any legitimate inquiry could be provided. Our first five offers were ignored,” Mr Lowell informed the press exterior the listening to room.
