Sadio Mane’s new spouse is eighteen, her father has reportedly confirmed.
The former Liverpool star, now plying his commerce within the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr, tied the knot with Aisha Tamba in a non-public ceremony in his dwelling nation of Senegal earlier this month. Initial experiences that she was 18 had been disputed amid separate claims that she was truly 26. The authorized age of consent in Senegal is 16.
The conventional Islamic ceremony passed off in Aisha’s dwelling within the capital metropolis of Dakar and was attended by household and shut pals. Her father, Amadou Tamba, has since said that his daughter is eighteen and that the pair first met “more than two years ago”.

Explaining how they met, Mr Tamba stated Mane had seen “something special” in his daughter, with couple sticking to custom by not relationship earlier than they acquired hitched.
Mr Tamba stated: “My wife and Aisha visited their [Mane’s] family one day, and this is where he met her for the first time. He probably saw something special in her and his parents appreciated her as well. They came to see me. We discussed as per the tradition, agreed on everything and waited for this day to happen.”
He added that “they were not dating because Aisha was still young”. Talking to native media, Mr Tamba confirmed: “She is 18… It [the first time Mane saw her] was more than two years ago.’
Mr Tamba said: “With the values and all that she heard about him, she accepted voluntarily. But as parents we also guided and advised her to freely make up her mind. God did what’s best for her.”
After the marriage, Mane expressed his pleasure and gratitude for the well-wishes he obtained forward of captaining Senegal on the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
“Honestly, I am happy [with] the fact the president has congratulated me as well. I would say not just my team-mates,” he stated. “I think that all the people have congratulated me and wished me [luck] so I am happy and I hope that it’ll be okay.”
Mr Tamba is a contractor within the building business and he has been working carefully with Mane and his household on various tasks for greater than a decade.
He added: “There is a strong trust in our relationship. This is not about his [Mane’s] fame or his wealth. The first thing I like about him is his good education.
“And now that I’ve given him my daughter, I would really like him to take excellent care of her and particularly to reside as per the Muslim commandments, as a result of he is an effective Muslim. I would really like him to assist her develop, although she is doing her finest, this is essential for me.”
