Shaun Murphy says O’Sullivan is not damaging snooker ‘but’ – however makes him cringe

Shaun Murphy has hit out at snooker foe Ronnie O’Sullivan – claiming he makes him ‘cringe’ and will harm the game.

Ahead of their showdown within the semi-finals of The Masters, the world No.6 didn’t maintain again on his emotions about O’Sullivan. The two have hardly ever seen eye to eye and the newest instalment of their rivalry at Ally Pally introduced a disagreement from Murphy.

Speaking after O’Sullivan beforehand slammed Ally Pally for being “dirty” and “disgusting”, Murphy admitted: “We’re very different. We’ve got different opinions on almost everything. We come from a completely different world. I don’t come from the same world as Ronnie.

“Ronnie comes from a very privileged, a very wealthy background. I come from a very working class, had nothing growing up, background. And we have different views on most things because of that. What we do have is passion for this game.”
