Cricket legend David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd is returning to the commentary sales space two years on from his Sky Sports exit.
The 76-year-old grew to become a fan favorite throughout his two decade-plus stint for the broadcaster, establishing himself because the voice of their cricketing protection from 1999 up till December 2021.

Bumble is now set to make his comeback – however not for Sky. He’s becoming a member of talkSPORT for England’s five-Test tour of India, which will get underway later this month, after the radio station’s latest acquisition of unique broadcast rights to all Indian residence cricket till 2028.
Reacting on X, previously Twitter, he wrote: “Chuffed is an understatement! So pleased.” Those sentiments had been echoed by the followers who’ve missed listening to his voice on their TV.

Bumble opened up on his psychological well being struggles after leaving Sky final yr, explaining how he “could’ve done something stupid” had he not immersed himself in a home transfer that saved him distracted.
“I got stuck in and that saved me because I would have done something stupid,” he informed the Daily Mail. “My vanity was completely dreadful.
“I wouldn’t answer the phone to anybody, even people like (Michael) Atherton, who was ringing constantly. He wanted to come and see me and I said no. I just locked myself away.
“I didn’t have interaction with anyone. My life was the wrong way up and in turmoil. I’ve put a veneer on it after I’ve been hurting inside such as you wouldn’t imagine.”
