Warning over random ammonia assaults in Lawless Londo

A person has issued a warning about acid assaults in London after having a liquid substance sprayed in his face by a stranger on a moped. 

The sufferer, who’s but to be recognized, posted a video on social media describing the horrific incident which left him in hospital on Friday, January 19. 

In the footage he says was driving residence in Surbiton, south west London, when a random individual began ‘screaming’ at his automobile window while he was on the cellphone. 

The driver then wound down his window and claims to have had neat ammonia sprayed in his face and eyes on the junction of Brighton Road and Portsmouth Road.

The man, whose eyes are very crimson and swollen within the video, was transferred to St George’s Hospital to see a specialist eye guide and initially feared he was going blind, however has since been discharged.   

Scotland Yard is now investigating the incident and say preliminary assessments point out a much less dangerous substance than ammonia was used.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police attended the incident simply after 6pm with emergency service employees and stated they have been ‘happy’ the person had been discharged from hospital.
