Footy star Phil Foden’s mum not responsible after arrest for knocking man’s hat off

Phil Foden’s mum Claire Rowlands spent an evening within the cells after being arrested for knocking a person’s hat off.

The Manchester City star’s guardian was arrested for assault final September after bouncers allegedly ejected her for a row sparked by her actions, a courtroom heard.

Rowlands had been on a boozy evening out with pals in North Wales. She had been invited to a good friend’s caravan and reportedly necked pictures and partied at a sports activities bar earlier than heading to a nightclub.

According to The Sun, Rowlands advised a courtroom she was consuming vodka and tequila pictures whereas doing karaoke in a bar.

After arriving at Bentley’s nightclub, Rowlands was allegedly requested to depart by ­doormen who accused her of assaulting somebody.

A 30-second CCTV clip proven in courtroom reportedly confirmed Rowlands knocking a baseball cap off Paul Shortman’s head earlier than selecting it up and trying to place it again on him.

When questioned on what was going by her thoughts, Rowlands advised the courtroom: “I was just drunk. I was having a bit of fun. I had done it to a lad earlier. It was just a bit of fun, really.”

Rowlands solicitor Simon Martin mentioned Shortman ducked as she tried to place the cap again on with the headwear occurring the ground once more.

Rowlands mentioned: “I was drunk. It was just a bit of fun, a bit of ­banter. I just could not believe it, that I could get into trouble for knocking someone’s cap off. It’s my party trick, knocking someone’s cap off and putting it back on.”

After her ejection from the membership, Rowlands was seen shouting at cops. She admitted in an interview: “I kicked off with the police officers. I was a bit of a b****.”

She additionally advised police: “I do not drink often but when I do, I make up for time. I am like an animal.”

Rowlands was discovered not responsible of assault with chairman of the magistrates Duncan Campbell saying: “It is clear at the time that you were drunk, fooling around having fun. It is for the prosecution to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt and that you intended to use force.

“It is telling that Mr Shortman has not attended and that your actions were not consensual. Therefore we find you not guilty.”

Rowlands had pleaded responsible at a earlier listening to to being drunk and disorderly, and for that was fined £100, with £85 prices and a £40 surcharge.
