Ronnie O’Sullivan’s dad took one other thinly-veiled swipe at snooker supremo Barry Hearn.

He uploaded an image of the snooker legend carrying a purple, black, gray and white chequered coat and a bicycle helmet. He then wrote: “Getting ready for Barnsley tomorrow. Moped is gassed up and ready to go for a qualifying match for China. Lovely jubbly. Thanks Bazzer and WST.”
If his displeasure was not already clear sufficient, he additionally stated: “Win a big tournament and given 24 hours to recover is barbaric. Then with no sleep or rest or preparation travel to Barnsley for one game to qualify for the tournament in China. It’s not good at all.

“Top 16 should automatically go to China. No rewards. Because Baz Earner loves good or bad publicity as it’s all the same to him. Especially when a top seed goes out because of fatigue. Every pro in any sport needs time to recover. Baz earner and the hamster wheel.

While it is doable he could also be feeling some miles on the clock, O’Sullivan stated he’s not planning on slowing down. After his win in Leicester, he stated: “When I play snooker I feel young in my head. I know age is a number, 48, but actually when I start playing, I feel like I’ve knocked 20 years off, I still feel quite vibrant.
“As long as I’m still feeling young at the table I don’t think age is really an issue. Experience is helping me. I’ve won a lot of tournaments, learned a lot about the game.”
