US authorities staff to do ‘starvation strike’ in rebuke of Biden’s Gaza coverage

Multiple businesses are organising a “day of fasting” to convey gentle to the rising humanitarian disaster in Gaza amid the battle between Israel and Hamas.

Government workers of the group United for Peace, shaped by officers pissed off with US President Joe Biden’s response to the Israeli Defense Forces’ (IDF) actions in Gaza, introduced that they might participate within the Thursday demonstration.

Those taking part will present as much as their respective places of work wearing black or carrying keffiyeh scarves or different symbols of Palestinian solidarity, the Guardian reported.

The Day of Fasting is in response to Israel’s use of “hunger as a weapon of battle by deliberately withholding meals from getting into Gaza,” a federal worker speaking for the group said. The worker, who was not named, cited the UN reporting that there are currently 2million people in the area at risk of famine.
