UK vacationer ‘faked abduction in intercourse hotspot to extort cash from family’

A Brit vacationer who allegedly faked his personal abduction to extort cash from his personal household even cajoled his mates into beating him as much as make the staged crime extra plausible, based on Thai police.

The man, recognized as Ian Robbie Day, from Portsmouth, allegedly connived along with his associates to manufacture his kidnapping after he ran out of cash. He wished to extend his vacation within the infamous intercourse vacationer vacation spot of Pattaya, japanese Thailand.

However, based on Police Lieutenant Colonel Sorasak Saengcha, who lead the investigation on the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Ian was busy partying, not being kidnapped.

Saengcha stated: “The guy chatted in iMessage and FaceTime with his relatives in the UK. He sent pictures of himself being attacked, and then after with injuries, he took pictures of himself looking like he had been beaten up. His friends would punch him and give him bruises on his face, then he would video call his family on FaceTime.

“He requested his three associates to behave like they have been kidnappers holding him hostage. He made them put on masks within the movies and act like gangsters.

“When his household would not help him anymore, he staged the kidnap, that was the explanation he did that. He requested his household to ship cash they usually stated no.

“His family were worried and they contacted police in the UK and Interpol was informed. Interpol contacted Thai police and we traced the man. But when we arrived they were having a party. They were overstaying their visas so they will be deported.”

Thai police had despatched a particular operations staff to free him from his captors earlier than Ian was allegedly discovered partying.

He was reportedly discovered taking medication throughout a two-day binge with three different foreigners.
