Woman mauled to demise by two canine as cops arrest man in reference to assault

A lady has died after being attacked by two canine and a person has been arrested on suspicion of harmful canine offences, Essex Police have stated.

Police had been referred to as to a property at Jaywick Sands, close to Clacton-on-Sea, yesterday (February 3) afternoon, the place they discovered the critically injured girl. Cops consider she was attacked by two canine, which have since been put down.

A 39-year-old man from Jaywick was arrested on suspicion of harmful canine offences and is at the moment in custody. The girl handed away on the scene and Essex Police are attempting to determine what led to the incident.

Police stated there isn’t any wider menace to the neighborhood.

Chief Superintendent Glen Pavelin stated: “Experienced detectives are leading the investigation to identify exactly what has happened.

“I do know there can be hypothesis concerning the breed of the canine concerned.

“We’re waiting for confirmation from experts about this before releasing further details and I’d ask people not to speculate.”
