You’ve been cooking jacket potatoes mistaken – foodies say you should not use oven

A house cook dinner revealed a speedy technique to make a jacket potato.

Instead of baking it within the oven for hours on finish, you may blast it within the microwave to get the job finished in simply 10 minutes. And it may be simply as tasty!

Foodie Roice Bethel shared the genius hack on his TikTok web page @noflakeysalt. In the video, he exhibits us tips on how to whip up a baked potato with minimal time or effort.

In the video caption, he wrote: “The right way to bake a potato. Baking a potato in the oven takes over an hour, doing it in the microwave takes 10 minutes. Try this method instead.”

The course of begins with a decent-sized potato. Puncture a bunch of holes in it to set free moisture permitting it to “absorb more butter”.

Pop the potato onto a plate and put it within the microwave. After 5 minutes, flip the potato and provides it one other 5 minutes to cook dinner.

If you are worried that microwaving spuds could make the pores and skin soggy, worry not. People revealed they pop the microwaved potatoes into an oven, pan or airfryer for a couple of minutes to enhance the feel.

User @suedonim chimed in with: “Need crispy skin though. Five minutes in the microwave and 10 in the air fryer.”

And @mrs_198o suggested: “Microwave six minutes, Spray oil, and salt, then air fryer for 10 minutes. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.”
